Home Sweet Home
Texturing and lighting are the order of the day. Unlike many of my peers I am not frittering away countless hours playing games. No, I am frittering away countless hours on things that are probably not essential to my film. I just can't be doing with overly-simplistic models, and once I start I don't know when to stop. Still, I think it's starting to look quite good. Except for the whole CG horrible square, shiny finish. I'll sort that out with accessories and the addition of foliage etc afterwards. Ooh, lunch time! Sweet.

HOORAY!!!!
HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finished the stinking dissertation.
Got really drunk afterwards and ended up in the new Intrepid Fox (a shadow of its former self but has lots of good metal upstairs)
Perhaps now we can get on with our film. I can't wait.

More rigging
I have been experimenting with non-linear deformers (namely twist and bend). I have also rigged and then re-rigged, more extensively, the pylon. After doing some test animations I decided the pylon needed the rig to extend to its....well, I don't know what you'd call them...the bits that stick out like arms or ears or horns...those. IkSpline is my choice for this. They won't be doing much more than general movements, not like an actual arm. All this while I should be writing my dissertation, but ti's such a waste of time. Hello Framestore, would you like to read my essay? Yes, likely.
